Rock and tranquility with the Arctic Monkeys – Gig Review

Do you wanna know about the Arctic Monkeys gig at the O2 ?

One point perspective? Do me a favour, I’ll brainstorm it.

The view from the afternoon, well at 505, was that it was all going to be about the Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino with star treatment for Arabella.

Front man and lead singer, Alex Turner, sporting a new slick short haircut, sung about science fiction with crying lightning onto the cornerstone.

After a while they told all those in the packed arena to snap out of it and not to sit down ‘cause I’ve moved your chair.

There were lots of pretty visitors and teddy pickers wearing knee socks, all of whom I bet look good on the dance floor. The mosh pit was massive.

Towards the end, they posed a couple of questions, why’d you only call me when you’re high and, to finish, r u mine ? Well, they are very cool, they have written six albums and know their stuff.  I’d give it four stars out of five.
